ATIC

ATIC

Located in Fort Campbell, the Applied Tactical Innovation Center (ATIC) is a centralized hub for Army warfighters and research partners to learn, innovate, build, and explore new ideas to solve tactical problems.

The ATIC plays a key role in Soldier innovation and problem-solving. Soldiers will now have access to various machines and technology, including 3D printers, laser cutters, sewing machines, entry-level artificial intelligence, technical training, and design support.

Additive Manufacturing

3D printers, 3D scanner (coming soon), and workstations with SolidWorks

Subtractive Manufacturing

Computer Numerical Control (CNC) milling, laser cutting, laser etching, and other shop machinery and tools

Electrical/Electronic Equipment and Design

NVIDIA Jetson Artificial Intelligence (AI) computing platforms, robotics kits, and electrical and electronics workstations with tools and components

Textile Crafting

Sewing machine, toolsets, workstations, crafting and modeling materials, and more

Digital Solutions

The EagleWerx Artifactory Software Lab (coming soon), Coursera licenses for digital literacy, and AI readiness (limited)

Collaboration and Facilitation

Collaboration space, classroom, and break room (coming soon) with in-house engineering support

“The most significant innovations I’ve implemented in my industrial career were based on ideas that came from the factory floor, not from the offices and boardrooms. The Pathfinder program is about empowering the Soldier who best understands a given problem to develop a solution for the rest of the team.”

– Garth Ghearing, innovation engineer and instructor at the ATIC
