WVU President Gee Visits Fort Andrew to Spotlight Innovation, STEM, and Student Opportunity in Clay County
On Friday, May 9, WVU President Gordon Gee joined CMI2 Founder Dr. Zenovy Wowczuk and MG (Retired) James Hoyer to visit the Adaptive Experimentation Facility at Fort Andrew, including a tour of the Operations facility and the command center construction, spotlighting our incredible work unfolding in Clay County.
President Gee met with CMI2 leaders and interns, offering inspiring words while expressing his enthusiasm and excitement to see continued growth and new opportunities in Clay County. Staff and intern presenters shared insights on innovative processes that promote creativity in a hands-on, real-world environment.
Student interns participating in the visit included Brody Keen, Gracie Johnson, and Morgan Payton. Employees included Cory Kaufman, Josh Walker, Landon Williams, Micah Osborne, Ethan Nottingham, and Megan Osborne.
CMI2 is committed to advancing its mission of creating a unique training and experimentation destination in West Virginia. The final Fort Andrew facility will be a challenging and combat-realistic environment for military users, offering a multi-domain setting for researching and developing military technology.
