April 28, 2025
On Friday, April 25, CMI2 proudly participated in Clay County High School’s Senior Career and Signing Day, an event dedicated to celebrating students’ post-secondary plans and connecting them with future career opportunities.
Our team had the opportunity to showcase STEM-related and technical career pathways to the next generation of innovators. Current CMI2 interns and CCHS seniors Gracie Johnson and Brody Keen played a key role in leading discussions with their peers during the Career Fair. They were joined by CMI2 teammates Walter Hatfield, Adam Landers, Borys Wowczuk, and Joshua Walker, an inaugural CMI2 intern from 2023 who now serves as a CMI2 Makerspace Specialist.

The day began with a special assembly where seniors were recognized for their plans after graduation, whether pursuing higher education, entering skilled trades, joining the military, or entering the workforce. Community partners, local industries, families, and supporters celebrated these impressive young leaders.
CMI2 is proud to partner with Clay County High School and to help strengthen pathways for West Virginia students to explore exciting futures in STEM and technical fields. We remain committed to investing in youth across the region and expanding access to career-building opportunities that support long-term community growth.
