2024 AEF Summer Internship – Week Three On the Move

On the move

Progress continues at CMI2’s Adaptive Experimentation Facility (AEF) at Fort Andrew in Lizemores, WV, thanks to our team of interns. This week, they continued tasks related to decommissioning the original site, edging closer to the project deadline of early July.

A key component of the transition was transporting all vehicles from the original Leatherwood location, including the tank — that’s right, the tank.

Helping Hands

As the administration of H.E. White Elementary School in Bomont worked toward closing the school this week, they received help from CMI2. Several CMI2 interns worked loading up furniture and supplies and transporting it to other schools in the county.

Supporting tactical innovation

During this week’s Friday Forum event, the AEF interns enjoyed presentations from James “Cody” Clevenger, manager of the CMI2 Pathfinder Program. The program is a collaboration between the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) and CMI2 to support practical readiness and accelerated performance for Soldiers through problem sourcing, innovation opportunities, and solution concepts.
