Description:
The Civil-Military Innovation Institute, Inc. (CMI2) seeks an entry level Makerspace Operator – In Training for its Adaptive Experimentation Facility. The Makerspace Operator position is full-time, reporting directly to the CMI2 Adaptive Experimentation Facility Site Administration or Makerspace Manager.
Essential Position Functions:
- Innovative and outside the box thinking
- Problem solving skills
- Basic understanding of Computer Aided Design (CAD) Software
- Basic knowledge of using hand tools
- Skills in Microsoft Office Utilities
- Conduct preventive and emergency response maintenance and repair for all
- Vehicles
- Equipment
- Tools
- Supplies
- Facilities
- Property
- Any other duties as assigned
- Address and report safety concerns in a timely manner
- Flexibility, adaptability and drive; may temporarily be assigned to a work scope and shift to implement new initiatives
- Self-Starter able to ensure projects are completed correctly and in a timely manner
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
Desired Minimum Qualifications:
- 16-18 Years Old In High School or High school diploma / GED required
- Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Comfortable taking the initiative and seeking out responsibility
- Professional and positive demeanor, customer-focused
Location: Clay County (Fola, Bickmore, Lizemores), W.Va.
Job Type: Internship/Full-Time
Salary Range: $17.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday; occasional weekend availability
Travel Requirement: 10% (estimated)
