Internship Program | AEF Site Makerspace Operator – In Training

Description:

The Civil-Military Innovation Institute, Inc. (CMI2) seeks an entry level Makerspace Operator – In Training for its Adaptive Experimentation Facility. The Makerspace Operator position is full-time, reporting directly to the CMI2 Adaptive Experimentation Facility Site Administration or Makerspace Manager.

Essential Position Functions:

  • Innovative and outside the box thinking
  • Problem solving skills
  • Basic understanding of Computer Aided Design (CAD) Software
  • Basic knowledge of using hand tools
  • Skills in Microsoft Office Utilities
  • Conduct preventive and emergency response maintenance and repair for all
    • Vehicles
    • Equipment
    • Tools
    • Supplies
    • Facilities
    • Property
    • Any other duties as assigned
  • Address and report safety concerns in a timely manner
  • Flexibility, adaptability and drive; may temporarily be assigned to a work scope and shift to implement new initiatives
  • Self-Starter able to ensure projects are completed correctly and in a timely manner
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

  • 16-18 Years Old In High School or High school diploma / GED required
  • Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Comfortable taking the initiative and seeking out responsibility
  • Professional and positive demeanor, customer-focused

Location: Clay County (Fola, Bickmore, Lizemores), W.Va.

Job Type: Internship/Full-Time

Salary Range: $17.50 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday; occasional weekend availability

 Travel Requirement: 10% (estimated)
